This is a compiled list of all Announcements posted in 2018 for reference.

 

Some of you eagle eyed site administrators may have already noticed a change to the event editor > DETAILS screen… the addition of CLOSE REGISTRATION.

 

It's another way to manage closing registration to events while allowing attendees to cancel, without allowing new registrants, and you can add your customized message right in the RSVP column. 

 

Give it a try and let us know your thoughts. 

FYI: You ask for it, we deliver. ChapterPRO's GROUP TEXTING feature is coming out in a few months! Let us know if this is something your chapter is interested in having.

 

Also, the new user interface  featuring all new page designs for member profile, officers and forums (includes photos!), news/marketplace, photos/gallery, RSVP status icons on mobile and website, events and event calendar, will be released soon. Following is the second V8 editor upgrade for administrators, the email editor.

 

Know that we're working hard to bring you everything you've been asking for, including in the V8 event editor and member editor. ChapterPRO is the only chapter management tool made exclusively for you. We can't wait for you to experience the new functionality included in these upgrades!

Announcing: Linking video member biographies to member profiles is now available. Send us the member name and video URL and we'll add to their profile. If you weren't aware, we can also link PDF member bio's to profiles too.

Go to Admin Control Panel > info icon > click CUSTOMER SERVICE > reply "Yes, please upload YPO EDGE 2019 event to our site." 

 

We heard your pleas and responded.

 

Many CA's informed us of frustration removing the leading space above an inserted event in the email editor. It was put there as an assist for those who wanted to enter a message before the event information. 

 

This leading space is now removed. If you want to enter a message above an event, begin with message, then insert the event.

FYI: We're happy to announce Jenny Henning has joined The Code Crew's stellar customer service team!

 

She'll be responding to email requests for ChapterPRO support along with Meghann and Brook, with Lisa continuing to manage graphic services.

 

As a reminder, Lisa, Meghann and Jenny are in Pacific time zone and Brook is in Central time zone.

ANNOUNCED 28 June 2018  – IMPORTANT – UPLOAD TO CVENT RULES

FOR YPO-YPO GOLD CHAPTERS ONLY

 

Be sure to read the following to ensure you're using Upload to Cvent feature correctly, as a policy change was made by YPOI in May:

 

1. Events are uploaded to Cvent at 1:00am U.S. central standard/daylight savings time Sunday - Thursday only, and take up to 25 hours to sync to Cvent/Exchange for upload.

 

2. ONLY ONLINE and FUTURE EVENTS are uploaded to Cvent. An event DOES NOT UPLOAD or UPDATE on Cvent AFTER the event date.

 

3. If event is online then taken offline it is cancelled on Cvent.

 

4. FOR EVENTS WITH DATE CHANGES: Do not edit the start or end date of an existing event to more than 90 days after original end date, as it will not update on Cvent. To successfully upload an event to Cvent with a date change of more than 90 days > DUPLICATE event > edit date > check box Upload to Cvent > Save. Take original event OFFLINE to cancel on Cvent.

 

We hope this reminder helps you keep your chapter in good standing with YPOI using this time-saving feature!

 

If you post Forums on your site, do you approve of ChapterPRO sharing your FORUM information with YPOI?

 

Please go to the far right of Admin Control Panel at the top of your screen > click information icon > select Customer Service > enter your response YES or NO > click SEND.

You'll find step-by-step instructions with screen shots and screen captures for tasks using ChapterPRO's editors. We're adding more guides every day, so if you have an instruction idea, let us know.

Hey hey hey… the new feature Insert Update Profile Reminder is now available on all sites.

Go to EMAIL > SEND EMAIL > Step 4 Message > Insert Preset > click on Insert Update Profile Reminder. Send a test to yourself to try it out.

Delete any event, including events with RSVP's.

 

When an event is cancelled that has attendees, we recommend adding "CANCELLED" to event title to alert them. After event date has passed, then delete the event.

All chapters now have Subscribe to Calendar upgrade activated!

 

For an overview of this awesome new feature, including screen shots and links to step by step instructions to subscribe, that you can share with your members, see related articles.

 

This feature eliminates the need to send Outlook calendar invites for events by giving members access current event calendar information because edits made to events are synced every hour. And it's available on the mobile app!

 

Click the circle i at the end of the admin control panel > select Customer Service and let us know how this new feature is working for you and your members : )

NOW OPTIONAL - Spouse last names in the event report > Export to Excel file

Turns out not everyone was a fan of this change. So, we've reverted everyone back to the original version without spouse last names, and member names – lastname, firstname (spouse firstname).

 

The option currently available is for the YES list only to display names as firstname lastname, spousefirstname spouselastname, for the purpose of more easily making name tags from the attendee list.

 

The Total RSVP, NO, NO RESPONSE and VIEW ALL MEMBER reports remain displaying the names in original format.

 

If you would like us to turn on this new option on your site, go to the admin control panel > circle i > CUSTOMER SERVICE and paste this message:

Please turn on EXCEL YES REPORT.

FYI: we've tweaked the "Do not display Who's Attending list to Members" feature to respond the same for both members AND administrators.

 

When this box is checked in the event editor (DETAILS > ATTENDANCE >  Do not display Who's Attending list to Members) now both members and administrators have the list suppressed on the event page.

 

This does not affect the event report for administrators, where you will still have access to seeing the attending event list.
