Hide a News item from display to member in the News Archive, but keep it available for linking to in other places on your site.
This is different than Offline status as offline items CANNOT be linked to and displayed.
If you have an item you want to display on the site, but not in the Archive, this is the feature to use.
For example:
- Link to a speaker bio for an event, but don't want the speaker bio listed in the News Archive
- Link to a static page added to the user menu for you to manage the content
- Hide previous or current Chair messages
1. Create the news item, check do not display in the archive
2. In the Archive, the hidden items have a yellow background displayed to the Admin, but Members will not see the item.
3. Use the link tool to get the URL for the item and paste the link where you need it (i.e. Event Editor, Email message). OR alert support@chapterpro.com with the title and place to add to User Menu, or to create a hyperlink in an event page description.
