Members are not deleted from your site, rather they are made inactive.
*V8 member editor upgrade will let you HIDE names from INACTIVE list.
1. Go to edit member profile > two options:
Option A: User Menu > SEARCH DIRECTORY > enter member first or last name, spouse first or last name, email address, assistant name, or company name > click return/enter key or magnifying glass.

Click edit profile. Proceed to step 2.

Option B: Control Panel > MEMBERS > click EDIT PROFILES.
Find member > click edit. Proceed to step 2.

2. Check box for Inactive > click SAVE.

The member name is removed from the directory and event who's attending lists. Inactive member names remain in the Forums and Officers pages, unlinked to an active profile.
