Use the Guest feature to create a profile for non-members or prospects and add them to event reports without displaying the
profile to members.
A profile marked as Guest cannot:
- RSVP to an event (Admin can RSVP for a
Guest in the Event Report)
- use the Forgot Login and First Visit
functions
- edit their profile
- receive emails sent through
ChapterPRO
- be seen by Members
A profile marked as Guest can login and view the site if you give them their username and password.
1. Admin Control Panel > MEMBERS >
click ADD MEMBER.
2. If available, select the member type, which varies by site > select Guest.
3. Enter First Name and Last Name.
TIP: Include guest name descriptor by
entering first and last name in first name
field "Jenny Jones", and descriptor "X Chapter" or "Prospective Member" in
the last name field. The result is "Jenny
Jones X Chapter" or "Jenny Jones
Prospective Member" displays on the member
profile. Members do not see
Guest profiles in the member
directory.
4. Click ADD.
*If member date of birth (DOB) is required
on your site, you will be prompted to
enter a DOB. If unknown, enter January 1, and any year you prefer.
NOTE: Member editor upgrades in development includes ability to set permissions for user-types or custom groups, for example
Prospective members and Widow/Widower of
member. Each will have their own
permissions assigned, different from the
existing Guest, to be determined by each
chapter.
