Create Marketplace Item

NOTE: Titles for Marketplace editor vary by organization. 

1. There are two ways to create a Marketplace item:

Option A: Admin Control Panel > CONTENT > MARKETPLACE > click CREATE NEW ITEM.

Option B: In Marketplace Archive > click +.

2.  Enter TITLE and optionally a BRIEF DESCRIPTION.

TIP: The Brief Description displays when viewing an uploaded PDF or a written message completed in the next step.

3. Options are to UPLOAD PDF or WRITE ITEM.

If uploading a PDF continue with instructions. For WRITE ITEM go to step 4.



UPLOAD PDF > click Choose File > find file on your computer > click Open.




The selected file name is displayed next to the Choose File button > click UPLOAD PDF.




The file is now uploaded as the Marketplace item.



4. WRITE ITEM > enter text, links, and images in message area.

TIP: If pasting text from another source (Internet, Word file), be sure to click on the 'paste as text' tool BEFORE pasting into message area to avoid inserting background html coding.



 

5. OPTIONAL: To link a member's name to their profile, follow these instructions: Link Member Name in News (same steps in Marketplace)


6. Click SAVE.



7. Click ARCHIVE.

8. Click title to view and proof item.

TIP: All new Marketplace items are are offline until taken online, as indicated by green background and red eye icon.

9. Review offline message.

TIP: Offline items are indicated with a green background and red eye.

10. Click red eye to take ONLINE, eye changes to green. Click pencil icon to edit.
