Cancel Event - v1

Take Event OFFLINE will:
  • remove event from display in event calendar for members. 
  • delete event from Subscribed Calendar.
  • if Upload to Cvent box checked, it will be cancelled on Cvent. **applies only to sites with Cvent integration.
 
TIP: When an event is cancelled that has attendees, we recommend adding "CANCELLED" to event title to alert attendees, and leave event online. After event date has passed, then delete the event.


Remove event from event calendar and subscribed calendar for members:

1. On List View, Banner View, Single Events View, Event Calendar page, OR any tab within the Event Editor > click the green eye to take an event OFFLINE

2. Event is removed from members view on event calendar, and subscribed calendar when the start date is in the future or within the last two weeks.

TIP: Event background and outline in green and the red eye indicate offline status, viewable by site administrators, agents and members with site privileges to event editor only.

NOTE: If the event was uploaded to Cvent, this will cancel the event in Cvent as well, provided Upload to Cvent box is checked. The modified event file uploads to YPOI servers Sunday - Thursday 12 am ET (US), and YPOI completes final steps Monday - Friday during business hours. Typically the process is completed by morning, but allow up to 24 hours.

Keep event online to alert members of cancellation:

1. Keep event online. Go to edit event > DESCRIPTION > ALERT MESSAGE > add "CANCELLED".

2. CONTROLS > SUPPRESS RSVP > click SAVE.

3. The event displays with edited title on event page, event calendar and subscribed calendar. The RSVP column is removed from the event page, and members may no longer RSVP to the event.
